I came over from England with my family when I was 21, after spending a time in rural Canterbury and meeting my now partner of 14 years Matt we spread our wings and moved to Nelson for a short time. We could of stayed happily there but we decided to take the plunge and moved to Australia.  After 5 years working on a cattle station, a gold mine, cafes, a grain company and entertainment arenas, I fell pregnant so we packed up and travelled Europe and returned back to New Zealand. After that Matt carried on FIFO to the mines in Australia until lockdown hit. 

After having my second child I studied apiculture and worked  beekeeping for a local company in Staveley.

Matt comes from a sheep and beef farm in Staveley and we have had meat processed for ourselves using the whole animal, which is not just a respect thing but also the most sustainable.  After reading the benefits of Tallow on the skin I wanted to give the rendering process a try and not see this being wasted as this healing product has been used for centuries. 

​

Tallow contains vitamins A, D, E and K as well as linoleic acid which is known for its anti-inflammatory properties, penetrating the barrier to deliver fat-soluble activators.

​

Look I know some people believe putting beef fat on your skin is just a fad and trend but the truth is, using tallow on your skin is a practice that dates back thousands of years.....

​

I have worked on creating balms for nappy rash and moisture locking creams for my girls as our Nor West wind drys their sensitive skin out. 

I've grown a stronger passion of making simple skincare that has a small foot print on the planet, gathering botanicals from our spray free garden to dehydrate and infuse here in Methven, sourcing organic suet from local farms and lowering waste in New Zealand abattoirs.

Putting pure honest ingredients on myself and my family was essential and so Earth Glow was created to give people more accessibility to the natural sustainable path here in New Zealand.

People are more aware now more than ever of harmful chemicals that can effect moods and hormones.

​

We are growing with multiple products in our range like bath salt, body butter, toner, even a stunning magnesium spray.

​

I cannot wait to see where Earth Glow goes from here.
